In my quest to redefine, launch and build my professional career while staying at home, my beloved husband asked me, "Have you thought about WHY you really want to do this? What are your really your motives? Have you even prayed about it?"
As usual, this highly introspective and wise lover of mine got me into thinking about what was really going on in my head...Is it just a spur of the moment? Is it something I will get tired off and drop at the first sign of difficulty?
It was certainly a very liberating process. I will list some of them here and perhaps some of you reading this may be able to identify with one, few or all of them.
My motivations for wanting to make extra money at home are:
1. To be physically present at home so that I could spend time with my husband and kids, and to be around whenever I am needed.
2. To create additional sources of income to fund needs which are currently not covered by our existing family budget. These include but are limited to:
2.a. Maintenance Expenses for our house, cars, etc.
2.b. A Pool of savings for Emergencies such as medical needs, health maintenance
2.c. "Nest Egg" long term Investments which are intended for future needs such as retirement money
2.d. Educational Savings Fund for our children not just for College but even their preschool, primary, secondary and even up to post-graduate education - God-willing! ;
3. To financially support worthy causes and especially church ministries;
4. To be able to afford occasional luxuries such as vacations, trips to the spa :) and special celebration of life milestones ; this basically is translated - to be able to buy what I want at times.....:)
These are a few of my reasons. Yours may be different Either way, there is a way to
make extra money at home that is legitimate, doable and affordable.

Nowadays, almost everyone I know is either complaining of the expensive prices of basic commodities, feeling the pinch of the reduced purchasing power of their take home pays and most everyone is on the lookout to
save money and make more whenever and however possible.
This accounts for the huge demand for programs that can generate a second or third income for families. This also explains the lucrative motivation of some would-be opportunists to rake in some cashflow from unsuspecting prospects.
Skepticism is really healthy, and should be addressed. Afterall, in a free economy, since there are little or no barriers to entry, the competition consists of the good, the bad, the honest, the scammers, the legitimate and the
pyramid schemes.At the surface, everyone will claim the best capacity to make you profitable. So how can you tell? What traits or characteristics should you be looking for when considering to begin your own
online enterprise?
